This kit comes with all the parts ready for you to solder and assemble yourself. You can practice your soldering and be a part of what you are making. See bottom for list of required tools etc

  • Breadboard friendly 0.1″ spacing on all I/O signals

  • Reset switch and LEDS at the edge of the pcb  – where you can get at them, if you have a shield fitted

  • 32K x 8 Sketchloader SRAM included as standard

  • Can accept a Hope RF RFM12B wireless module – and be user upgraded to a Nanode RF

The original Nanode 5 will shortly be retired and replaced with the very much enhanced Nanode Classic.

Nanode RF is the gateway to all of our RF enabled Nanode boards and devices. It acts as a bridge between the ethernet and compatible wireless devices (868MHz and optional 433MHz Boards and devices) The Nanode RF is simply a Nanode Classic board with an RFM12B module included on board which adds 868MHz Wireless connectivity to your board. Should you wish to use 433MHz we recommend you buy a Nanode Classic and fit a 433MHz RFM12B module. These are available from CPC Farnell, RS Components and Maplin Etc This kit comes with all the parts ready for you to solder and assemble yourself. You can practice your soldering and be a part of what you are making. See bottom for list of required tools etc

WiNode is a standalone wireless node – designed to complement Nanode RF.  Think of Nanode RF as the basestation and a network of WiNodes all communicating by low power wireless back to the base station and onwards to the internet. WiNode has been designed to be a starting platform for a number of wireless based designs including sensors, actuators and controls. WiNode is aimed for users who want simple wireless connectivity for remote sensing and control. It comes complete with Sketchloader, SRAM and a choice of 2 resistor networks allowing its analogue inputs to operate on 0-10v or 0-36v systems, 2Amp motor H-Bridge Driver IC and a microSD card socket (the microSD card socket has already been soldered to the board). WiNode is aimed at applications requiring motor relay or high power LED switching as well as data logging applications, saving data to the SD.   This kit comes with all the parts ready for you to solder and assemble yourself. You can practice your soldering and be a part of what you are making.

WiNode features the same ATmega328P microcontroller with the following peripherals

  • RFM12B wireless module – 868MHz is standard but also available with 433MHz part  -request 433MHz special order here
  • 4 ADC channels with divider resistor arrays allowing choice of 10V input or 36V input
  • Screw terminals allow quick and easy connection to other devices
  • Compatible with Arduino shield footprints – add your own hardware on a proto-shield
  • 4 high current (2A) driver outputs for driving dc motors, relays or other high current devices including high power LEDS.
  • Real time clock calendar with super-capacitor backup on board
  • MicroSD Card Socket for volume data logging etc included on board
  • WiNode fits inside a popular plastic case with battery compartment and can be powered from 2 x AA batteries

Accessories

We sell an expansion kit to add to your Nanode RF.

Kit includes:

1 x microSD card socket
1 x supercap
1 x RTC tiny 8 pin
1 x 32768 watch crystal
1 x BAS70 diode

As many of you know we had discontinued the ‘through-hole’ RFX and should have the SM version for sale at the beginning of May 2012.

For existing Nanode 5 customers and users a low cost wireless expansion board, that we at nanode call backpacks (otherwise known as shields)

Allows users to cheaply upgrade to all the features of a Nanode RF board or bring wireless connectivity to their Arduino project.

This kit comes with all the parts ready for you to solder and assemble yourself. You can practice your soldering and be a part of what you are making. See bottom for list of required tools etc

Programming Adaptor

Our own customised Nanode USB to serial programming adaptor.  Designed as a low cost alternative to the overpriced FTDI cable, (Typically £16.00 – ouch!)  our adaptor works with all the Nanode and WiNode products above.
